Terms of Use

1. Who we are and what the service is

Kitfolio is a web-based SaaS service for collaborative packing lists (hereafter «Kitfolio», «we» or «us»). The service lets you create reusable packing templates, adapt them for trips and collaborate with others.

By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept the terms, you must not use the service.

2. User account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • One person may have one account. Account sharing is not permitted.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your account. Keep your password secure and report immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • Account information must be accurate. Providing a false identity is a breach of these terms.

3. Permitted use

You may use Kitfolio for lawful purposes in accordance with these terms. You must not:

  • automatically scrape, index or copy content from the service without written permission;
  • attempt to circumvent security measures, authentication or access control;
  • upload, share or distribute unlawful content, malware or content that infringes the rights of others;
  • use the service for spam, phishing or other harmful purposes;
  • overload the infrastructure with unreasonably high traffic (e.g. automated script attacks).

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that breach these rules, without prior notice in the case of serious breaches.

4. Your content

You retain full ownership of the content you create in Kitfolio: your packing lists, templates and item names are yours.

By storing content in Kitfolio you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display and transmit the content solely to provide the service to you and those you explicitly share with. We make no other claim to your content.

You are responsible for ensuring that the content you upload does not infringe third-party rights or applicable laws.

5. Availability

We strive for high uptime and stable operation, but give no guarantee of continuous availability. The service may be unavailable during planned maintenance, unforeseen faults or force majeure.

The free tier is offered without an SLA guarantee. The paid tier (when available) has its own uptime terms set out in the subscription agreement.

6. Payment and subscription

Basic features in Kitfolio are free. Advanced features (e.g. template history and extended collaboration features) may require a paid subscription.

7. Termination and deletion

You can delete your account at any time via your account settings. On deletion you are signed out everywhere immediately. Within 30 days your personal data (name, email and sign-in identity) is permanently removed. Lists you own alone are deleted; lists you share with others are kept for the remaining collaborators, without your identity attached. See the privacy policy.

We may suspend or terminate access to your account:

  • with 7 days' written notice (email) for a breach of these terms;
  • immediately and without notice for serious breaches, including security breaches, unlawful activity or repeated violations.

8. Limitation of liability

The service is provided «as is» without any express or implied warranty. To the extent permitted by Norwegian law:

  • We are not liable for indirect loss, lost revenue, loss of data or consequential damage arising from use of, or lack of access to, the service.
  • Our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid for the service in the past 12 months.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory Norwegian consumer law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law.

10. Changes to the terms

We may change these terms. For material changes you will be notified by email with at least 14 days' advance notice before the changes take effect. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

The date at the top of this page is always updated when changes are made.
